The switch that I took a punt on from Mercedes has arrived, and it is the correct one! (sort of). Whilst there is an actual fog light switch for this van, it’s out of stock. The one that I’ve got is an interior light switch. Bit it fits into the hole and looks brilliant.
I’m rather impressed that it only took 2 days to get a switch from Mercedes in Germany for a van that’s over 30 years old. Well done Mercedes.
The rear connectors are non-standard (they may have been 30 years ago but not anymore. Fortunately the female spade connectors from the previous switch fit onto the new switch so i’ve not had to make a trip to Maplins.
Now at least this part of the dash is finished and looks great.
